Sofa and hard floors ....

The sofa is Willow's new home, she is a lounger and loves to relax on the sofa watching TV. she doesn't like the hard floors though and i think its because she finds it difficult to walk on it, a little slippery perhaps!

Anyway, so ..... none stop eating, brushing and loving cuddles and willow is still on her way to becoming a well balanced cat.

**NEWS FLASH** ...... I found out today that Willow still has three adorable kittens up for adoption, my apologies, i thought they were lucky enough to find homes but I'm afraid not. I can understand people like the fluffy tabby kittens and what not but these wonderful little black bundles of fun are just, if not better, loving and playful pets so if you find yourself reading Willow's diary and thinking about adopting a kitten then please get in touch. I can assure you they are adorable. Ant xxx

2night ..

2night i am in on my own so having got fed up of me being in here and Willow being in the bathroom (remember its a secure quiet place for all our foster cats <16>) i decided, as i do, to pick Willow up and bring her to the sofa. Nothing unusual about this as we have done it before and do it with all our bathroom/ secure/ small dark room obsessed foster cats BUT this time i have closed the lounge door so she cant get down off the sofa and walk back into the bathroom (that word again, how many times have i used it?) ............ Willow isn't bothered, in fact i think she liked me closing the door so she didn't think she 'had' to go back to the .... I'm not going to say it again .... OK... back to the bathroom... there i said it. She has settled on the sofa and is looking longingly at my hand as i type ... by her reaction when i do stroke her i think she would like me to be stroking her much more than watching me type this. She is so affectionate and loves to be stroked and mad a fuss of.

She is becoming stronger and putting on weight, even in the few days we have had her and we will continue to push the boundaries, like tonight with the door closing, to make her more settled and secure and fighting fit for a new home. Ant and Willow xxx

Settling in and vet visit ..

Well Willow is settling in nicely, slowly but progressive. She is still very down and feeling sorry for herself and to make matters worse she was limping on her right hind leg so off she went to the vets this morning and some pain killers and an antibiotic injection later she is back home, in the bathroom relaxing. Willow still feels safe in the bathroom where she has lots of bedding to keep her warm and, obviously, the whole flat to roam whenever she wants. She is happy to be picked up and brought for a cuddle on the sofa and she adores being brushed.

Poor little Willow will be just fine soon enough. Once she has settled in and put some weight on she will start to appreciate that life can only get better for her ... Ant x

Willow's arrival ...

Welcome to Willow's diary page. Willow is approximately 2 years old and was found as a stray with her kittens in a terrible state of starvation and malnourishment. Having spent weeks in a cat pen she started to receive care, food and fresh water and helped to raise her kittens. All four 9 week old kittens are now spoken for so Willow has come to our home to be fostered while a new permanent home is found for her. Here she will receive lots of TLC, good food and fresh water to help her put her weight back on and become a well balanced, happy cat which she so desperately deserves

Will is currently hiding in my shoe rack by the front door. She has ventured out once and soon decided that hiding was the best course of action for now and i cant say i blame her poor love. Watch this space. Ant xxx
